Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters over the past 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of people who live in these places. Curry has covered wars across the globe, and has reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of Agana) is an American anchor, television reporter and journalist. Curry was perhaps most well-known for being a correspondent of The Today Show, a popular morning news program broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry's reporting was distinguished in its reporting of the humanitarian crises occurring in war-torn nations and natural disasters. Curry's father was a sailor in the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Curry met her mother when she was working with her father in Japan after World War II. In the wake of her father's involvement as a military officer, they moved a lot. They eventually arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. She graduated with a journalism diploma from the University of Oregon in 1978.
