Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters over the past 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of people who live in these places. Curry's father was a sailor in the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Curry met her mother when she was working with her father in Japan after World War II. In the wake of her father's involvement as a military officer, they moved a lot. They eventually arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. She graduated with a journalism diploma from the University of Oregon in 1978.
