Cynthia Louise Bissett was the Vice President of Verizon's mobile network. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director and businessman of an Internet network company was her father. The family she grew up with was Catholic and she was raised in the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Because of this, her parents enrolled the Convent of the Sacred Heart an eminent religious school. Since she was young she was a lover of music. She began to play the piano in the very beginning and wrote her first original song at the age of thirteen. The open mic night was her favorite. The singers she admired were queen Michael Jackson Madonna, David Bowie. Upon completing high-school, she enrolled in the Tisch School of Art of New York University where she studied music. But after completing high school and entering the Tisch School of Fine Arts at New York University in order to pursue a degree in music.
